Figure 02

The first Pensacola Beach Multihull Race & Cruise Week is planned for September 23 through 27, 2026, with Pensacola Beach Yacht Club serving as the event hub. The gathering is designed to bring the multihull community together for a week that combines competition, casual cruising, education, and time ashore.

The invitation is deliberately broad. Corsair, Dragonfly, and Seawind owners are welcome, along with trailerable trimarans, beach cats, cruising catamarans, racing catamarans, and other boats with more than one hull. That mix should create an event where experienced racers, relaxed cruisers, prospective owners, and sailors new to multihulls can share the same waterfront.

On the water, the program is expected to include day races, distance races, and buoy racing. Sailors who prefer a more relaxed pace can join casual group cruises and raft-ups. Combining racing and cruising in one event gives crews several ways to participate and makes it easier for families and mixed-experience groups to build a schedule that suits them.

The shoreside program will be equally important. Beach barbecues, evening socials, informal discussions, demonstrations, and seminars will create time to compare boats, exchange experience, and learn from other multihull sailors. Pensacola Beach Yacht Club will provide a central location for food, drinks, and nightly gatherings, while nearby Little Sabine Bay offers a convenient anchorage.

Participants may stay aboard their boats, and the Pensacola Beach area also offers nearby hotels, short-term rentals, and campgrounds. That flexibility supports both local sailors and crews traveling to the Gulf Coast. Late September is an appealing time to enjoy Pensacola's sailing conditions and waterfront community.

Pensacola Beach Multihull Race & Cruise Week is intended to have something for everyone, whether the goal is to race hard, cruise easily, learn more about multihulls, or simply spend time with other sailors. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the regional fleet and build connections that continue well beyond a single week on the water.
