Specializing in Multihulls since 1997

Windcraft specializes in trimarans and is located between Destin and Pensacola on the Emerald Coast of the Gulf of Mexico in Northwest Florida. Windcraft was founded in 1995 by Don Wigston, a long time Corsair trimaran owner, racer and dealer. since 1998. So we know trimarans inside and out.

Don Wigston,  [email protected]  tel 404 307 9121  President Windcraft Inc. New Boat Sales.

Don grew up in New Zealand, and inherited the DNA for sailing. He moved to the USA in 1979 to further his earlier career as a neuroscientist. He bought his first trimaran, a Corsair F-27, in 1993, and cruised and raced it around the SE USA . In 1997 he became a dealer for Corsair Marine, switched to a Corsair 28R and in 1998 assumed ownership of his local Corsair dealership. In 2000 he resigned his job as a mad scientist to concentrate full time on sailing and selling trimarans, and moved his dealership Windcraft to the Gulf of Mexico coast in Florida near Pensacola. Over the years Don has won his share of National Championships on different trimarans, including the F-28R, Sprint 750 and Pulse 600 classes, so Don is familiar with the technical details and rigging of every Corsair model. Don has also crewed on larger ocean racing catamarans such as a Gunboat 66 and an Atlantic 55. Don believes in the performance, versatility and safety of the trimaran platform so it was a natural move to add Rapido Trimarans, built by the former owner of Corsair Marine, and the Danish built Dragonfly Trimarans to the range of exciting multihulls that Windcraft Multihulls offers its customers.
