Introducing the Dragonfly 33: The Next Generation of Performance Cruising

Figure 02

For nearly six decades, Dragonfly trimarans have been built around a clear idea: sailors should not have to choose between responsive performance and the comfort of cruising. The new Dragonfly 33 carries that philosophy into a fresh design shaped by the experience behind the Dragonfly 36 and generations of Swing Wing trimarans.

The Dragonfly 33 begins with a new wave-piercing main hull and float design intended to deliver efficient speed, confident handling, and a composed ride. A spacious dual-zone cockpit, twin wheels, and Dragonfly's proven Swing Wing folding system add the practical qualities owners need at the dock and underway. The result is a boat designed for family sailing, coastal exploration, offshore passages, and fast afternoons when conditions invite crews to press a little harder.

Buyers can choose between Touring and Performance versions. The Dragonfly 33 Touring uses a 15.20-meter carbon mast and an intuitive control layout that makes the boat approachable without removing the responsive sailing character that defines the brand. It is aimed at sailors who want an exciting performance cruiser for weekends, family adventures, and longer coastal trips.

The Dragonfly 33 Performance raises the power and responsiveness with a 17.20-meter carbon rig and more sail area. This version is intended for experienced sailors who want greater acceleration and a higher performance ceiling while retaining the versatility, folding capability, and cruising accommodations of the core design.

Below deck, the Dragonfly 33 shifts from speed-focused to welcoming. Panoramic windows bring natural light into a Scandinavian-inspired interior finished in ash as standard, with elm available as an option. Flexible accommodations, a generous saloon, an integrated galley, a separate head, and thoughtful storage make the boat suitable for weekends aboard and extended adventures.

The Dragonfly 33 is more than a new model in the range. It combines decades of engineering, construction, and sailing experience in a trimaran designed to be fast, elegant, versatile, and practical to own. Windcraft Multihulls can provide current specifications, pricing, production availability, and guidance on whether the Touring or Performance version best fits a sailor's plans.
