FEATURES & EQUIPMENT

Design DNA & Construction

The DRAGONFLY 33 carries forward the proven design DNA of its predecessor, the DRAGONFLY 32, while introducing further refinements in construction, performance, comfort, and functionality.

All three hulls are constructed using hand-laid vinylester laminates with Divinycell closed-cell foam cores and finished in durable white gelcoat. The cabin deck features hand-laid fiberglass and Divinycell foam-core sandwich construction, finished in white gelcoat with white molded non-skid surfaces throughout the deck areas.

The DRAGONFLY 33 also incorporates increased use of vacuum infusion and advanced tooling for selected composite components, including the forward main bulkheads. These manufacturing refinements optimize the balance of weight, strength, consistency, durability, longevity, and ease of maintenance—hallmarks of Dragonfly construction.

Designed Around the Sailor

At the heart of the DRAGONFLY 33 is a spacious, dual-zone cockpit with twin steering wheels, offering exceptional visibility, effortless movement throughout the cockpit, and direct access to the water for swimming and watersports.

Sail controls are thoughtfully integrated and led directly to the helm, creating an intuitive and comfortable sailing environment with excellent control from either side of the cockpit.

The result is a trimaran that brings functionality, performance, and elegance together in perfect harmony. Easy to handle, exceptionally stable, and remarkably fast in a wide range of conditions, the DRAGONFLY 33 is equally at home on a solo adventure, a family cruise, an offshore passage, or a weekend racecourse.

Fold. Berth. Explore.

The legendary Dragonfly Swing Wing System allows the DRAGONFLY 33 to fold from an impressive 26'7" sailing beam to just 12'2" in minutes—without tools.

The system is built around four vacuum-infused composite folding wings and Dragonfly's proven stainless-steel hinge system on the main hull. Refined through decades of development, the Swing Wing System delivers exceptional strength and reliability while making the DRAGONFLY 33 remarkably practical to berth, transport, and store.

Smart Features. Effortless Adventures.

The fixed bowsprit makes handling downwind sails remarkably simple, whether sailing with the optional Asymmetric Spinnaker or Code 0. Beyond making the boat faster and more enjoyable under sail, the bowsprit also provides an elegant and practical solution for anchoring.

The kick-up rudder and centerboard system allows the DRAGONFLY 33 to safely dry out or even beached with ease, while helping protect the appendages from accidental impact while sailing.

The saildrive and dual-blade propeller are strategically positioned to provide additional protection, allowing the boat to rest securely on the lowest part of the center hull when dried out.

A stainless-steel anchor bracket can be elegantly integrated into the fixed bowsprit, with the anchor readily accessible from the dedicated anchor locker. With the centerboard fully raised, the DRAGONFLY 33 draws just 1'10", opening up countless shallow-water anchorages that remain inaccessible to deeper-draft boats.

Space. Comfort. Freedom.

At anchor, the DRAGONFLY 33 provides an exceptionally stable and comfortable platform. Two generous trampolines add valuable outdoor living space while remaining integrated at deck level, creating a natural, unobstructed flow throughout the boat whether the wings are deployed or folded.

When it's time to cool off, the open stern provides easy access to the water. A convenient bathing ladder on the starboard float makes getting back aboard effortless.

Each float provides generous storage for additional sails, an inflatable dinghy, outboard, and other cruising equipment. Storage is easily accessed through the standard forward hatch, with an optional aft hatch providing additional convenience.

Additional cockpit storage is found behind the long forward backrest and within lockers on both port and starboard sides, providing ample space while keeping the cockpit clean and uncluttered.

Atmosphere, Craftsmanship & Refined Details

Step down from the cockpit into the heart of the DRAGONFLY 33, where natural light, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design come together.

Large windows and skylights draw daylight deep into the main cabin, creating an open, contemporary atmosphere that feels remarkably spacious for a trimaran of this size.

The standard Light Ash interior brings a bright, refined Scandinavian character, while optional Elm cabinetry offers a warmer and more distinctive expression.

Every wooden surface is finished with hand-sprayed varnish, combining beautiful aesthetics with exceptional durability, easy maintenance, and a level of finish consistent with Dragonfly's handcrafted approach.

Private, Flexible & Adaptive

The DRAGONFLY 33 saloon is designed as both a sophisticated living space and a highly functional center of life aboard. Whether enjoying a quiet morning at anchor, sharing a meal with family, or planning the next day's adventure, the interior offers an impressive sense of space and natural flow.

The generously proportioned saloon incorporates comfortable seating, practical storage, and a well-appointed galley with carefully considered solutions throughout.

The galley can be equipped with optional refrigeration, a two-burner stove, and oven, creating a refined onboard cooking environment without compromising the open feeling of the main cabin.

Together, the saloon and galley provide a space equally well suited to relaxed weekend cruising or extended offshore adventures.

Thoughtful Accommodation

Forward, a separate head provides privacy and convenience, with an optional shower system available for additional comfort.

The inviting forward cabin features a generous 6'11" V-berth, complemented by natural light from the overhead skylight. A spacious private aft cabin, accessed through the port aft door, provides a quiet and comfortable retreat for restful nights aboard.

An additional saloon berth provides flexible accommodation for family or guests.

Your Dragonfly. Your Adventure.

Every DRAGONFLY 33 is handcrafted with the understanding that no two owners—or two adventures—are exactly alike.

From interior finishes and equipment to sail plans and cruising configuration, the boat can be tailored to reflect the priorities, preferences, and ambitions of its owner.

The result is more than a highly capable trimaran. It is a DRAGONFLY 33 uniquely suited to the people who sail her—and the adventures they dream of pursuing.
