Overview
The Corsair 970 Sport takes the proven cruising platform of the standard 970 and reimagines it for sailors who demand sharper performance, faster acceleration, and a more dynamic sailing experience. Designed for those who want the comfort of a capable cruiser combined with race-inspired responsiveness, the 970 Sport delivers a powerful step up in performance without sacrificing versatility.
Sharing the same advanced hull, float, and beam architecture as the standard Cruz 970, the Sport version benefits from increased stability and structural refinement while placing greater emphasis on weight reduction and sail-handling efficiency. A more performance-oriented deck layout and larger, open cockpit enhance crew ergonomics and control, making the boat equally comfortable for spirited day sailing, competitive events, or fast coastal passages.
Optional carbon fiber mast and boom reduce weight aloft, improving balance, responsiveness, and overall sailing efficiency. While the interior remains fully functional for cruising and overnight stays, the 970 Sport shifts the focus toward sailing performance and open-deck enjoyment. Folding capability remains a core feature, allowing the Corsair Cruz 970 Sport to combine big-boat performance with the practicality of trailering—making it an ideal choice for sailors who want to sail farther and faster with confidence.
