A Guided Brokerage Process for Buyers and Sellers
When a pre-owned boat is purchased through Windcraft, the transaction includes several important steps: offer terms, deposit handling, purchase agreement signatures, survey or sea trial conditions, closing statements, final balance transfer, seller payment, and ownership documentation.
Clear Terms
Price, conditions, deposits, and closing requirements are documented clearly.
Organized Closing
Windcraft helps coordinate closing statements, funds, commission, fees, and required documentation.
Smooth Transfer
Titles and registrations are reviewed and forwarded to the buyer after payment is completed.
1
Offer & Deposit
Buyer and seller agree on the selling price and conditions through Windcraft. The buyer provides a signed purchase offer with the proposed price and terms, along with a 10% deposit held by Windcraft.
2
Purchase Agreement
Once both parties accept the price and terms, Windcraft prepares the purchase agreement and sends it to the buyer and seller for signatures.
3
Survey, Inspection & Sea Trial
The buyer completes any requested conditions, such as a satisfactory survey, inspection, or sea trial. If the buyer chooses to skip inspections or trials, the process continues to closing.
4
Acceptance of Vessel
After requested conditions are met, the buyer signs either an Acceptance of Vessel or Conditional Acceptance of Vessel.
5
Closing Statement & Balance Due
Windcraft issues closing statements to both parties. The buyer then transfers the remaining balance due, plus any required sales tax, to Windcraft.
6
Seller Payment
Windcraft transfers funds to the seller after deducting commission and any other fees owed.
7
Titles & Registration Transfer
After receiving payment, the seller completes and sends all required titles and registrations for the boat and trailer to Windcraft by overnight service. Windcraft reviews and forwards the signed titles and registrations to the buyer.
